Fitting
Horses naturally have asymmetrical bodies, with one shoulder often more developed or carried ahead of the other. This imbalance can also extend to their back and loin muscles, making saddle fitting a complex yet critical aspect of equestrian performance. A properly fitted saddle addresses these asymmetries, allowing the rider to sit in perfect balance. This not only makes it easier for the horse to carry the rider but also promotes the development of proper muscle and overall comfort for both horse and rider.
Our patented adjustable DK western tree boosts 9 inches of adjustability and a 8.5 inch gullet, as well as a built in air system. All our DK western saddles come with a built in full and ¾ rigging for ultimate stability. Our western saddles can be tailored to fit any and all horses no matter their shape or size. The convenience of our DK western trees allow riders to adjust the saddle in just a few seconds, from the back or from the ground.
For the ultimate in comfort and performance, both our saddles incorporate the Flair air-panel system. This innovative system allows for precise adjustments to air pressure, accommodating the horse’s lateral asymmetry and ensuring a perfect fit. Our experienced saddle fitters evaluate the fit of the saddle while observing the rider at various gaits, fine-tuning the air panels to achieve unparalleled comfort and balance.
